The good news about Washington is, I believe that there are two politicians who I believe are reasonably intelligent, honest and trustworthy. Barack Obama, and Ron Paul. Yes, take that, you buffoons.
The terribly, terribly bad news is, it's far too late for them to do anything. The USA sustained terminal and fatal damage some years ago, but unlike the Titanic, it is taking many years to sink. But sink it will, it must.
The Republican Party, perhaps one of the causes of death of America which will be found on historical autopsy, is engaging in a shallow and cynical attack on Barack Obama, in order to regain political power, in the manner of Pirates of the Titanic! Yes, go ahead and take over the wheelhouse, and hold the captain hostage. Be my guest. It doesn't matter. The ship is sunk.
